Well, one of my gifts for San Jordi this year was A touch of dead by Charlaine Harris. I gobbled this one up in two days on the subway...it's a very quick read with five short stories that take place at various different times between the books. It's sort of "light" but if you're itching for a dose of Sookie, it's just what the doctor ordered.
I can't wait for the new book (Dead in the family) to come out in May! And, of course, I'm dying (no pun intended) for the new season of True Blood!

I came across these guys on www.etsy.com while I was browsing wedding cake toppers. I'm seriously thinking about ordering a pair. What do you think?

Does Hasbro know about this?
Remember that crazy game you played when you were little? Well now you can wear it!
I don't think many people can pull it off, but it's definitely fun!

Valencia-a comer!!
One of the first things we did on our mini-vacation for Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Valencia was eat paella. Although opinions vary as to where you can get the best paella in Spain, many people will tell you that it's in Valencia. I don't know if I'm the best person to judge that, but I will say the paella that we ate was pretty delicious! I had to forget about doing my South Beach diet for a couple of days, but I think it was worth it!
Another typical treat in Valencia is horchata, which is made from chufa nuts. It's sort of like a sweet milk; Jordi is a big fan! You're supposed to dunk the Fartons (pastries in the picture), in the horchata to complete the treat.
